Welcome to The Scraps Buyer (the “Company”). By accessing our website (www.thescrapsbuyer.com) or utilizing our scrap collection and purchasing services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

The Scraps Buyer provides valuation, collection, dismantling, and purchasing services for various scrap materials, including but not limited to metals, machinery, electronics, and plastics. We operate primarily in Dammam, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

2. Scrap Valuation & Pricing

  • Market Fluctuations: Scrap prices are highly volatile and are based on the London Metal Exchange (LME) and local Saudi market daily rates. Quotes provided are valid for 24 hours unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Final Assessment: All preliminary quotes provided via WhatsApp or phone are estimates. Final pricing is determined only after a physical inspection and weighing of the material by our team using certified digital scales.

  • Contamination: If scrap materials contain excessive non-recyclable waste, moisture, or hazardous contaminants, the Company reserves the right to adjust the price or refuse the load.

3. Seller Obligations & Material Ownership

By selling scrap to us, the Seller warrants that:

  • They are the legal owner of the material or have explicit authorization to sell it.

  • The material is free from any liens, encumbrances, or illegal origins.

  • Hazardous Materials: The Seller must disclose if the scrap contains any hazardous substances (e.g., radiation, chemicals, or explosives). The Company will not accept materials that pose an undisclosed risk to our staff or the environment.

4. Logistics & Site Access

  • Safe Access: The Seller must provide safe and clear access for our vehicles (trucks/cranes) to the collection site.

  • Loading: Unless otherwise agreed, our team handles the loading. However, the Seller must ensure the area is free of obstructions that could cause delays or damage to our equipment.

5. Payment Terms

  • Immediate Settlement: Payment is typically made immediately upon completion of weighing and loading.

  • Methods: We offer payments via Cash, STC Pay, or Bank Transfer. For large corporate contracts, payments will be processed according to the agreed-upon invoicing cycle.

6. Dismantling & Liability

  • Professionalism: Our team performs dismantling services with the utmost care.

  • Liability: The Company is not liable for minor cosmetic damage to the site (e.g., floor scratches or dust) inherent to moving heavy industrial scrap. However, we maintain professional liability standards for any significant structural damage caused by negligence.

7. Data Security (E-Waste)

While the Company handles the physical recycling of electronic scrap, the Seller is responsible for deleting all sensitive data from hard drives and devices prior to pickup. The Scraps Buyer is not liable for any data breaches originating from discarded hardware.

8. Compliance with Saudi Law

Both the Company and the Seller agree to abide by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including environmental regulations set by the National Center for Waste Management (MWAN) and anti-commercial concealment laws.

9. Modifications to Terms

The Scraps Buyer reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
